As part of the ceremonial events of the high-level talks held in Ashgabat between President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, an official reception was hosted on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan in honor of the distinguished guest. This was reported by the State News Agency “Turkmenistan today”.
Following the official events, as part of the cultural program of the visit, the Malaysian Head of Government visited the village of Kipchak, located near the capital. Here, the distinguished guest honored the memory of the first President of Turkmenistan at the Türkmenbaşy Spirituality Mosque and performed the Friday prayer (Juma prayer) inside the mosque.
Upon the complete conclusion of his official visit program to Turkmenistan, the Prime Minister of Malaysia arrived at the capital’s International Airport. The distinguished guest was see off with high honors, after which he departed Ashgabat for his homeland.
This first historic visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to our country launched a brand-new chapter in the history of Turkmen-Malaysian interstate relations. The productive talks, reached agreements, and important documents signed during the visit will serve as a solid foundation for the further dynamic and sustainable growth of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two nations across various sectors.
